About Afid Therapeutics Inc.

panel-8

Afid Therapeutics Inc. is a private corporation whose entire chemistry portfolio is based on the utilization of carbohydrate feedstock in a way in which the rich chemical functionality and chirality of carbohydrates is captured. Above are examples of advanced chemical intermediates that we prepare from common sugars. the company has an internal drug development program which is currently focused in the antimicrobial and anti-coagulation areas.

About the Founder

The founder of AFID Therapeutics Inc., Rawle Hollingsworth, is the developer of the most extensive suite of general carbohydrate-based chemistries in use today. Routes to large families of compounds were developed starting from substituted pentose and hexose sugars.  Since then even more advanced chemistries with a much broader stretch of applications have been developed. These developments are detailed in hundreds of publications and issued patents. These important technologies are available to AFID Therapeutics Inc on an exclusive basis.

How we can work with you

  • Our advanced chemical intermediates are available for purchase in quantities ranging from milligrams to tens of kilograms or more.  Call for pricing as our prices are always being adjusted as we scale processes and are able to offer you better pricing.
  • Suggest variations and isomers that you would like us to offer or engage us to make a special variation for you.
  • Select a collection of scaffolds in smaller amounts from our list of compounds and benefit from special pricing if the total amount of material is above a certain gram threshold.
  • We can prepare a variation of any of our compounds in large quantities specifically to support your drug development activities.
  • Engage us to prepare a custom library

carbohydrate-antibiotics

Many naturally-occuring carbohydrates are already drugs. Antibiotics are an important class and we are actively working on developing more effective and safer variations of these to combat the increasing resistance of microorganisms to the traditional drugs.
